I kinda hated to destroy this old hippy paint job, because it was an original peice of chopper Americana. The multi-colored underlay paint sprayed on through a doily, wasn't that bad. But the zig zag man had been hand painted on, and was somewhat out of proportion. Pluse, there was gads of what looked to be shellac applied by brush. It was all yellowed and had big hardened drips on the bottom.

I don't have a sand blaster, and I'm too cheap to pay to have it done. So I got out the old heat gun and scrapper. This is less messy compaired to using brush on paint stripper. I hate that stuff, and I've not had very good results with it in the past.

See ya, zig zag man.
